Publicly Available, No Cost
The Natural Hazards Center (NHC)—with support from the National Science Foundation and the NOAA Weather Program Office, in partnership with the National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL) and the National Weather Service (NWS)—is issuing a special call for proposals for Tornado Ready Quick Response Research in the social, behavioral, and economic sciences. This special call—which is part of the Weather Ready Research Award Program—will advance novel quick response research that uses the NOAA Tornado Post-Event Survey to identify how community members receive, interpret, and respond to tornado watch and warning messages. Data that is collected with this NOAAsurvey instrument must be published and made publicly available on the National Science Foundation-supported DesignSafe Cyberinfrastructure.
