University of California, Berkeley Superfund Research Center scientists and their collaborators developed a new approach to help risk assessors pinpoint chemicals likely to disrupt metabolism. Metabolic disruption can contribute to various diseases, including obesity, liver disease, and diabetes. The new method identifies key characteristics shared by chemicals with similar toxic effects.
