Project Summary (2001-2006)

The Biostatistics Core provides statistical consulting and informal training on principles of the experimental design and statistical methods. Research projects are likely to require statistical assistance in designing experiments and the statistical analysis of experimental data. Biostatistics Core members assist researchers in choosing the appropriate experimental design, including the sample size, and in choosing the appropriate statistical model for analyzing generated experimental data. The core also facilitates statistical analysis of the data by both performing analyses and by advising researchers on how to perform appropriate analyses. Finally, the Biosatistics Core facilitates interactions between program projects and other Biostatistics and Bioinformatics resources within the University of Cincinnati.
