Project Summary (2000-2005)

The Analytical Services Core identifies and quantifies chemicals of concern from samples obtained from existing Superfund sites, sites undergoing remediation, and environmental samples from study areas used for monitoring and modeling. Researchers provide access to a wide array of analytical intrumentation and expertise to the project investigators. This core also assists the Superfund investigators with identification and quantification of endocrine disruptive chemicals, genotoxic and non-genotoxic chemicals, and chemicals regarded as developmental hazards. The determination of these chemical species assists in remediation and risk assessment projects and models.
