Project Summary (1995-2000)

This core is supporting the needs of projects which use both organic and inorganic chemicals. Its role is to maintain expertise in commonly used techniques like gas chromatography and expertise in specialized analytical techniques which may be required as special needs occur. Other activities are to develop analytical methods required by the projects, provide control samples for quality control and maintain difficult analytical techniques. A major component of this Core is the macro-PIXE technique which measures metal ion levels in tissue slices.
