NIEHS Main Entrance and Environmental Parkway - CLOSED Beginning June 1, 2018
Visitors traveling via Alexander Drive should enter the NIEHS campus through the EPA entrance. Directional signs will be posted. For additional information, please visit the Visiting NIEHS page.

Security on the NIEHS Campus

Please have your photo ID ready when you arrive. Since this meeting is being held on the NIEHS campus, everyone needs their photo ID to check in with security. We will give everyone's name to NIEHS Security to facilitate this process. If you have a federal employee ID badge, please be sure to bring it with you as this will speed up the security process for you.

You will need to walk through a metal detector and any bags you bring will be run through an x-ray scanner. We suggest you treat it like an airport and bring as little with you as possible. It could be a slow process; your patience is appreciated.

Parking at NIEHS

If you are driving, there is plenty of parking at NIEHS. PLEASE NOTE: The NIEHS Main Entrance is currently closed for construction. You must enter the campus through the U.S. EPA entrance (109 T.W. Alexander Drive). Directional signs to NIEHS will be posted. Upon arriving at EPA/NIEHS you will pass through a security check point. The guards will direct you to the NIEHS visitor/staff parking lot.

Breakfast, Lunch and Coffee Breaks

NIEHS Cafeteria hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The NIEHS cafeteria will be open so that you may purchase your breakfast, lunch, and coffee during breaks. They accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and cash. Using a credit card will help the line go faster. They offer a deli, a salad bar (by weight), an entrée line, a grill, and there are desserts/snacks/fresh fruit scattered throughout the cafeteria. The cafeteria offers a coffee area, fountain beverages, and bottled beverages.

Internet connectivity at NIEHS

NIEHS offers free wireless internet to visitors so you will be able to use your laptop, tablet, and/or smart phone.
