WTP History and Assessment

This page contains resources that focus on the history and impact of the NIEHS Worker Training Program (WTP), as well as efforts to identify and assess program priorities and future direction.

Labor Market Study

This 1996 study was funded through a cooperative agreement between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and NIEHS, in order to better understand the number of workers and the skills they need to clean up hazardous waste sites across the United States.

WTP Reports

WTP Strategic Planning Documents

The 2008-2013 Strategic Plan was the last official plan published by the WTP. WTP staff and awardees continue to assess program priorities, effectiveness, and future direction through the ongoing review and refinement of an Operational Matrix and a Logic Model that help to ensure the program is meeting the operational goals outlined in the Strategic Plan. The Operational Matrix identifies annual WTP goals and activities. The activities within the matrix link to outcomes (impacts) in the WTP Logic Model. The matrix is a tool that will be used over the coming years to track progress.
