Western Region Universities Consortium

Since its inception in 1987, the Western Region Universities Consortium (WRUC) has brought together universities from Arizona, California, and Washington to protect workers and communities from exposure to hazardous materials and waste. Led by Kevin Riley, Ph.D., the consortium’s efforts have focused on preventing and responding to emergencies and disasters and creating pathways to careers in the environmental and construction industries. CPWR – The Center for Construction Research and Training

CPWR – The Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR), originally the Center to Protect Workers’ Rights, is the nonprofit construction safety and health research and training arm of the North America’s Building Trades Unions. Led by Chris Cain, CPWR is committed to reducing injuries, illnesses and fatalities in the U.S. construction industry. The Steelworkers Charitable and Educational Organization

The Steelworkers Charitable and Educational Organization (SCEO) represents the nonprofit arm of the United Steelworkers. Over the past decade, SCEO has evolved in delivering comprehensive training to thousands of workers in hazardous waste, HAZMAT disaster preparedness, and environmental careers across the nation. Ashlee Fitch is the lead and principal investigator for the SCEO.
