Final Progress Reports

Year:   2004

The biostatistics core provides data management and statistical support to Project 4 (epidemiology), with sample size calculations and experimental designs during the start up phase; database management, programming, and interim analyses during the data collection phase; and statistical analysis and review during the publication phase.  The statistical methods research provides tools for studying the arsenic-cancer dose response curve at lower exposures and may help to develop an appropriate regulatory response and to guide future research on biologic mechanisms.  In addition, the core continues to conduct collaborative statistical investigations relating to measurement error and use of instrumental variables.
