Awardee Meeting Details
The NIEHS Worker Training Program (WTP) Awardee Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT on the NIEHS campus in Research Triangle Park, NC. The Awardee Meeting will be hybrid to allow for remote participation.
Purpose of the Awardee Meeting
The semi-annual WTP Awardee Meeting brings awardees together to provide program updates, exchange information regarding training, and discover new areas of interest.
WTP Workshop Details
The WTP Workshop will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, October 18 – 19, 2023. The workshop is tentatively scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT on Thursday. The workshop will be in-person only and will take place on the NIEHS campus in Research Triangle Park, NC.
Overview of the Workshop
During this workshop, participants will discuss the role that WTP plays in workforce development in the 21st century. Participants will discuss challenges that exist in developing and equipping the workforce and strategies to enhance training models. Additionally, participants will address the implications of clean energy and new technologies in the workplace.
