The Administrative Core is responsible for organizing approximately bimonthly meetings of all SBRP investigators and several smaller meetings of investigators with an emphasis on collaborative efforts among projects. Present at all meetings are staff and all Core leaders. These activities continued and the Core ran smoothly and without interruption. It also oversaw preparation of the competitive renewal application.

Topics addressed in the regular meetings included joint publications and reviews of manuscripts; recent publications of interest to SBRP investigators; complementing approaches to the investigation of similar mechanisms of toxicity; and the exchange of data, tissue samples and investigative tools (such as using epidemiological techniques for biological and ecological research, applying mathematical models to taxonomy, shared application and validation of experimental assays). Also discussed are outreach and training activities that involve the investigators.

Members of the administrative core also participated in planning and presenting at the administrators workshop of the annual SBRP meeting in Seattle this year.
