Leadership and administrative support for the NYU Superfund Basic Research Program is provided through the Administrative Core.  This support is provided to the seven research cores, the research support core, training core, and outreach core.  The Principal Investigator, in consultation with the External and Internal Advisory Committees, provides leadership for the grant.  The Administrative core also disseminates information relative to the Superfund Basic Research Program to community and government organizations.

The Government Liaison unit of this core facilitates the dissemination of scientific results of research projects to personnel involved in the Superfund Program of EPA Region 2. The goal is to engender the integration of the scientific resources of the New York University Superfund Basic Research Program (SBRP) into the activities of the EPA Region 2 Superfund program activities, while strengthening the capacity of both parties to participate constructively in assessing toxic metals.  SBRP members travel to Region 2 EPA to provide briefings on Superfund related research activities.
