Awardee Meeting Details
The NIEHS Worker Training Program (WTP) Awardee Meeting will be held on Monday, October 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the NIEHS campus in Research Triangle Park, NC.
Data Management System (DMS) training will be offered at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Purpose of the Awardee Meeting
The semi-annual WTP Awardee Meeting brings awardees together to provide program updates, exchange information regarding training, and discover new areas of interest to awardees.
WTP Workshop Details
The WTP Workshop will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 17 – 18. The workshop is tentatively scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The workshop will also take place on the NIEHS campus in Research Triangle Park, NC.
Purpose and Scope of the Workshop
Last updated during a 2005 WTP workshop, the Minimum Health and Safety Training Criteria document is a national guidance document for training hazardous waste workers and emergency responders. It also serves as the primary quality control foundation for the WTP.
This workshop will primarily be a working meeting. Awardees will select from a limited number of topics addressed in the Minimum Criteria document, then break out into groups that will work to develop consensus on proposed revisions to the existing language.
