During the past year, the Administrative Core (AC) has completed the required functions as the chief administrative unit to support the overall objectives of the Columbia SRP including organizing meetings among the project investigators and core directors, setting plans and goals, and coordinating different activities for the program including the monthly seminars, journal club activities, supporting trainees submitting their KC Donnelly applications and other fellowships, supporting other investigators submitting grant applications, submitting and coordinating the data external and internal supplements, attendance to the annual SRP meeting, and other organizational trips. The AC leaders have also met with the budget administrator for the overall fiscal management of the grant. After a short period of adjustment, the AC was able to successfully move all the above activities to a virtual format, required due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
