Final Progress Reports

Year:   2020  2014  2008

The Administrative Core has continued to strengthen and expand their SBRP. The major areas of achievement over this past year are:

  1. Submitting a competing Superfund Basic Research Program (SBRP) grant application.
  2. Pursuing the goals of the Center for Environmental Health and Technology (CEHT) as an institutional home for the activities and growth of Brown’s SBRP, and as a center for integrating the environmentally-related programs at Brown.
  3. Strengthening the implementation of the Core’s Interdisciplinary Focus Areas (IFA) as a mechanism to enhance interdisciplinary integration, address mixed exposure problems and define translational research targets for the research projects.
  4. Upgrading the Core’s website to accommodate the expansion of it's Program’s activities and improve navigation. Changes included:
    • Adding a “News Highlights” and “Calendar Events” feature to the main page so viewers are alerted of immediate SBRP news.
    • Adding an “Accomplishments” page to the “Brown’s Program” drop-down menu.
    • Expanding the “Investigators” page to include all graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.
    • Creating an “Upcoming Events” drop-down menu that includes separate links to the “Seminar Series” page and “Workshops and Conferences” page.
    • Introducing a navigation system to the “Publications” page that allows viewers to jump directly to a specific project or Core.
    • Re-designing all project and Cores pages to accommodate content changes and additional images.
    • Updating all html code to increase user friendliness and facilitate website maintenance.
