Distance-based learning and electronic training methods are an integral part of HAZMAT training programs. The NIEHS Worker Training Program (WTP) awards Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants to foster the development of e-learning products that support: 1) the health and safety training of hazardous materials workers, emergency responders, and skilled support personnel; 2) community and citizen preparation and resiliency; and 3) research into the acute and long-term health effects of environmental disasters. This page provides information on innovative training products—produced by WTP award recipients and outside organizations—that assist both students and instructors and use a range of delivery platforms.
