Course Title: Persistent, Toxic Hazards That May Impact You and Your Community
Type of Course: General Hazard Awareness
Description: This course increases the awareness of toxic hazards, particularly those that persistent and bioaccumulative (PBTs). Recognition of toxic chemical hazards, the sources of these hazards in the community, health effects, and strategies for reducing exposure to these hazards are covered in interactive discussions.
Training Provider: Midwest Consortium
Instructor Qualifications: Facilitators documented to be qualified based on relevant work experience, education and expertise in adult education provide instruction. The number of facilitators is determined by the number of participants, consistent with NIEHS guidelines. Annual review of instructional competence is required.
