Course Title: Teaching Techniques Beginner 32-Hour
Type of Course: Training Methods/Trainer Development
Description: This Teaching Techniques course will help the student develop education skills when teaching safety and health topics to workers. It will cover basic techniques starting with the development of course objectives and a teaching outline. The course will stress participation technique, role playing, case problems, questionnaires, etc. Techniques for presenting and focusing information will be demonstrated and explained (e.g., lecture, flip charts, overheads, powerpoint, computer-based content, etc.) Each student will prepare a teaching outline on a safety and health subject and then teach a small group. These presentations will be critiqued and students will be given feedback and guidance for improving their presentation.
