Course Title: 8-hour First Responder Awareness
Type of Course: Emerg. Resp. Basic Oper.
Description: The course covers basic toxicological concepts, hazard recognition and risk-mapping of the work site; a discussion of the applicable OSHA standards including Hazard Communication and Exposure Limits. Understanding Safety Data Sheets as well as their limitations, relating the hierarchy of hazard control and its specific application in the use of chemicals, as well as awareness of applicable environmental and local laws.

Instructor Qualifications: Completion of 2hr COVID-19 Safety and Health training and review of NYCOSH curriculum.
