Course Title: Mold Remediation
Type of Course: Emerg. Resp. for Specific Hazards
Description: This program provides training in good practices to limit exposure and spread of contamination during mold remediation. Hazard recognition, use of personal protective equipment and model work practices are covered and practiced during hands-on simulations. As there is no Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulation specifically regarding mold remediation, resources for guidance and state regulations are covered.
Training Provider: Midwest Consortium
Instructor Qualifications: Facilitators documented to be qualified based on relevant work experience, education and expertise in adult education provide instruction. The number of facilitators is determined by the number of participants, consistent with NIEHS guidelines. Annual review of instructional competence is required.
