Project Summary (1995-2000)

The aim of this project is to understand the factors, particularly heterogeneities, that influence the movement and biodegradation of organic contaminants in the subsurface environment. The information gained from this research will be used in conjunction with microbial kinetics models to predict microbial activity and thus to develop and implement improved bioremediation strategies.
